about

This album was peiced together from songs I had wanted to do back in 2006 with my old band, the Inkwell Rhythm Makers.
I couldn't get them to play this stuff, but I really wanted to hear what they sounded like with a band, so I recorded them myself on a little multitrack program with the built in computer mic.

The whole thing was done in my room, and played in a much more quiet style. I don't think I used finger picks on any of the guitar tracks. A lot of the tracks used were first or second takes, I wasn't thinking about making a record, I just wanted to hear what these would sound like as soon as possible.

Eventually some peope on myspace asked if I had albums for sale, so I figured I'd make some album artwork and compile the songs.
Originally this record had fewer songs and was called "Experimental Jug Band Music". It was a white cover, with a stenciled top hat and guitar on it.
Eventually I changed the name, added a few more tracks, and changed the art to something I could photo copy, instead of having to spray paint each cover every time.
